The land on which we gather is traditional unceded Omamiwininiwag (Algonquin) and Anishinabewaki territory, a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations. Today, this place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to gather on this land.
Principal's Message
We hope that everyone is enjoying their summer and getting ready for the start of a new school year.
As you know, we are undergoing construction in the school and the construction has 2 components:
A) Installing ventilation and air conditioning to the “old section” of our school and
B) The addition of a new wing to the building to accommodate 4 year old kindergarten students in the fall of 2026.
Unfortunately, there have been a few delays with the air conditioning/ventilation construction project of the old section of the school; and this results in a change to the start dates for school.

We are looking forward to the return of the students. Our daycare provides service to the Greater Gatineau School community from the first day of classes to the last day of classes. This means that our opening date is the same as the school. Our first day of service will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025. All registered students in grade 1-6 may attend on that day. Kindergarten students will be able to attend on their first day (you will be contacted by the school to advise you of the start date) and full time starting on September 5th.
All students have been registered with the same attendance for next year. If your needs have changed please let us know.
Should you have any questions about our program you can see our information page or to register for daycare next year please do not hesitate to contact Jennifer by phone at (819) 663-4842 x3 or e-mail jplaxton@wqsb.qc.ca.
New Daycare Families remember to join @ggdaycare2 on the Remind app to get notices about daycare events. If you are already on the current remind, you will continue to receive the daycare messages.
